The Mary Celeste: One of the most puzzling maritime mysteries of all time, the Mary Celeste was discovered adrift in the Atlantic Ocean in 1872 with no sign of its crew. The ship was fully intact, with its cargo and personal belongings untouched, leading to speculation about what happened to the crew and why they abandoned the ship. Luckily, with the advanced technology cruise ships are equipped with, no vessels go missing any more.
Modern-Day Ghost Ships: While tales of ghost ships may seem like relics of the past, modern-day instances of abandoned vessels still occur, albeit less frequently. From derelict cargo ships to abandoned fishing trawlers, these ghostly sightings continue to captivate the imagination and fuel speculation about their mysterious origins. They make a good story, but remember being on a ship is safe and a great way to explore the world.
